Jesus MAFA is a response to the New Testament readings from the Lectionary by a Christian community in Cameroon, Africa.
Jesus MAFA from Art in the Christian Tradition, a project of the Vanderbilt Divinity Library, Nashville, TN.

Gospel according to Matthew 3.3-17
John the Baptist was baptizing by water in the river Jordan. Jesus came from Galilee and requested that John baptize him. Shocked John claimed that Jesus should be baptizing him. John is persuaded by Jesus's claim to fulfill righteousness. Communities today would do well to include women and children while keeping governments and states afloat. Let us pray, the divide between have and have nots close in the name of righteousness!
